An idoneità alloggiativa certificate concerns a home’s compliance with the applicable accommodation and health requirements. For family reunification, the main legal reference is Article 29 of Legislative Decree 286/1998. Current legislation.
When should you check whether it is required?
Check the requirements of the authority handling your application. The certificate should not be described as compulsory for every document commonly called a “residence card”: the precise permit and procedure must first be identified.
Documents for an initial review
- Identification for the applicant and the person concerned.
- Residence permit and any renewal receipt.
- Identification for the property owner or tenant.
- Registered tenancy agreement or ownership documents.
- Available floor plan and cadastral record.
- Relevant accommodation declarations, consent forms or authorisation.
- The authority’s request for the certificate, if available.
The final checklist depends on the responsible municipal district and the property’s circumstances. Older floor plans and previously completed forms should be checked before use.
Procedure and updates
The property address determines the responsible municipal district and the instructions to follow. The application, supporting documents and any required technical documentation can then be prepared.
Municipio XV Updates (2026)
Municipio XV updated its instructions in 2026 to include a sworn technical report and submission by certified email, or PEC. Check the procedure with the district responsible for the property. Official instructions Roma Capitale.
